Rod Hunt was commissioned by LMC Design to illustrate the new Blackpool resort map for Visit Blackpool.
Blackpool is the most popular seaside resort in the UK with in excess of 10 million visitors a year & has been undergoing a major Multi-million Pound renovation. The new map is the first to show the resort has a whole experience rather than as individual attractions.
Attractions include the Blackpool Tower, Pleasure Beach, SeaLife Centre, Blackpool Zoo, Madame Tussauds, North Pier, Sandcastle Waterpark, Winter Gardens, Trams & the new Comedy Carpet. There’s a crazy amount of detail, so please click the image to enlarge.

Rod Hunt Silver Medal from the Society of Illustrators - Illustrators 54 on Flickr.
Yesterday my Silver Medal from the Society of Illustrators arrived from New York, which unfortunately I couldn’t fly out to receive in person at the Awards Night a few weeks ago. The award was for my Welcome to the World of Sex advertising campaign illustration for French HIV/AIDS awareness not for profit AIDES. I’m very pleased to receive such a prestigious award, & for such a provocative campaign!

Brain Cruncher Illustration for Quaker Life Cereal Packaging - maple brown sugar flavor on Flickr.
Rod Hunt recently worked with Hornall Anderson Design in Seattle to illustrate the Brain Cruncher game to appear on the back of Quaker Life Cereal packaging. Five different versions of the illustration were created for the Original, Cinnamon, Strawberry, Apple Cinnamon & Maple Brown Sugar flavours.
